Asyraf Syahir or Acap is an arts practitioner and academician. He is the founder and artistic director of ejklsseni, as well as a lecturer in Sunway College (teaching theatre and film) and TARUMT (teaching theatre). Starting his theatre journey in 2011, Acap mainly focuses on backstage works, especially on the crafts of writing and directing (in which he has written more than 70 plays – in Malay and English). Additionally, he also focuses on the crafts of dramaturgy, scenography and sound design – whereby he specializes in blackbox style immersive performances. His previous works often revolve around the concepts of self discovery in which he utilizes a dramatherapeutic semi-devised approach towards his play development; with heavy themes, ranging from grief, sex, religion, sexuality, trauma, and many more. He was part of the production team (as director, writer or both) for several award-winning plays in the past: including Festival Teater Kuala Lumpur 2013, Festival Teater Kuala Lumpur 2015, and Anugerah Teater Malaysia 2023. Acap is also currently a PhD candidate under the Universiti of Malaya, whereby his practice-led research focuses on utilizing multisemiotic-modelling as a tool for dramaturgy in blackbox-style theatre performances.
Radja Afif
Studio Director
Radja Afif is a music graduate with a majoring in composition and classical guitar. He obtained his Bachelor of Music (Composition) and his Diploma of Music from UiTM Shah Alam. He was previously working as a music teacher for a few years before getting heavily involved in the production side of music events, working on the setup and installation of technical items and equipment. Afif has also been involved in arrangements of musical scores for theatre, as well as working on arrangement for local independent bands and artists.
SHAZWANIE MOHAMAD

Shazwanie or more affectionately known as Kak Wanie is a graduate of English Studies. She has been involved in the backstage works of multiple theatre production since 2012, as part of the props or wardrobe team, especially in plays directed by Acap (since the earlier days before ejklsseni till now).
AIMAN ZULHAKIM

Aiman Zulhakim or his stagename “Mikahluz Namia” is a graduate of English Literature from IIUM. Over the years, Aiman has written and directed several plays; whereby his works often shine in the scenic and visual aspects of them; aside from his tendency to delve into textual contents revolving around philosophies and human nature. Aiman’s natural affinity towards design and visuals often lands him to be the main person in charge of building multiple sets for ejklsseni’s in-house events. Aiman was part of ejklsseni’s first season of the Young Blood Experiment (TYBE).
